Calendly Alternative for Quotes and Job Bookings

By Guy · Updated · 4 min read

Short answer: Calendly is built for booking meetings: a client picks a time slot, gets a calendar invite and often a video link. It's excellent at that. MissedCalls is built for businesses that book jobs and give quotes: customers describe the job, add photos and their suburb, then book a time or request a quote, and every enquiry lands in an inbox app on your phone with automatic follow-ups. If you sell your time in meetings or consultations, Calendly is probably the better fit. If you need job details before you can quote or turn up, MissedCalls fits better.

Prices last checked 3 November 2026. Calendly prices are in US dollars and change from time to time, so check their site for current pricing.

How Calendly works

You create event types, such as a 30-minute call, connect your calendar, and share your booking link. Clients choose a free time, answer any questions you've added, and get a calendar invite with reminders.

Calendly's published plans are Free (one event type), Standard US$10 and Teams US$16 per seat a month billed yearly, or US$12 and US$20 billed monthly. Each person who takes bookings needs a seat.

It's a great tool for consultants, coaches, recruiters, sales teams and anyone whose service is a meeting.

How MissedCalls works

MissedCalls gives you a branded quote and booking form for your Google Business Profile, website, Facebook and Instagram. Customers tap through what they need, add photos, enter their suburb, and either book an available time or send a quote request. You get an instant alert in the Lead Inbox app, and follow-ups go out automatically.

All prices include GST.

  • Basic, $29 a month: enquiry form with photos and your questions, plus the Lead Inbox app
  • Standard, $79 a month: adds online bookings with real availability checked against your own calendar, deposits, confirmations and reminders
  • Premium, $129 a month: adds automatic quote follow-ups, invoice reminders, Google review requests and service reminders

We set it up for you, with no setup fee and no lock-in contract. See pricing for full details.

When Calendly is the better choice

  • Your service is a meeting: consultations, coaching, sales calls, interviews or online sessions
  • You only need a time slot and a few questions, not job details or photos
  • You want a free option and are happy to set it up yourself
  • You need bookings written into your calendar the instant they happen

When MissedCalls is the better choice

  • You need job details before you can quote or turn up: what needs doing, photos, location and timing
  • Many of your jobs need a quote first, so a time slot alone isn't enough
  • You want every enquiry in one inbox on your phone, not scattered across your calendar, email and texts
  • You want quotes chased and reviews requested automatically after the job
  • You'd rather pay one flat price in Australian dollars than per person in US dollars

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Calendly for a trade or service business?

You can, and it works if customers only need to pick a time. Many service businesses need job details, photos and an address before they can quote or schedule, which is what MissedCalls is built for.

How much does Calendly cost?

Calendly has a free plan for one event type. Paid plans start at US$10 per person a month billed yearly, or US$12 billed monthly, with Teams at US$16 billed yearly. Prices last checked November 2026.

Is MissedCalls free?

No. Plans start at $29 a month including GST, set up for you, with no setup fee and no lock-in contract.

Can customers request a quote instead of booking a time?

Yes. Your MissedCalls form can take bookings, quote requests or both, depending on the service the customer chooses.

Does MissedCalls work with my calendar?

Yes, both ways. On Standard and Premium, you can connect up to 3 Google, Outlook or Apple calendars, and anything busy is blocked from your booking times, including all-day and repeating events. New bookings appear in your Lead Inbox the second they're made, and can also show in your Google, Outlook or Apple calendar through a calendar subscription. One difference from Calendly: the calendar connection refreshes on a timer, so a brand-new event in your calendar can take up to an hour or two to block a time, and bookings can take a few hours to appear in your calendar app.
